About Us

The company was established in 1970 under Mr.Rahbar Dastranj. The companies name was registered as IMPERIAL moquette, their main field was tiffty floorcovering for the automotive industry in Iran. After the revolution in 1979 the company changed the name into Mehrvarz and created a other company in Turkey with the name ARTAS. ARTAS company was working till 1982 in the field of non woven in Turky.

ARTAS closed in Turky because of the economic crises that happened during that year.
One year later Mehrvarz became active again and the production focus was yarns.
Besides the production the non woven section was still active.

After the year 1997 the market in Iran changed and non woven was asked,
The managing directors decided to expand and invest in the nonwoven section for the following reasons.


- Better quality

- New technology

- New products


Mehrvarz changed the focus and bought machines for the Non woven production and
brought his own technology in to the game.


Mr. Rahbar Dastranj passed the responsibility to Mr. Reza Dastranj in 2003.
In that same year Mehrvarz received the 33rd INTERNATIONAL AWARD for
Business leadership and Prestige from the European Union.
